Terrible accident on Monday morning in Innsbruck! A 68-year-old motorcyclist died in a serious collision with a tree. CPR was of no avail. The trigger may have been a medical emergency.
The 68-year-old was riding his motorcycle on Tiroler Straße shortly after 11 a.m. That’s where the tragic accident happened. As the police reported at the request of “Krone”, the driver should have been driving in serpentine lines some time earlier at a speed of about 45 to 50 km / h. A motorist driving behind him had noticed this.
“Shortly after the intersection with Kranebitter Allee, he turned right for no reason and left the road,” said police spokesman Christian Viehweider. He should have driven diagonally across the dike and finally crashed into a tree.
Probably medical cause
The next motorist and his passenger immediately rushed to the 68-year-old and attempted first aid. Unfortunately, the driver died in vain at the scene of the accident. According to initial information, the cause may have preceded a medical cause.
