The Circus Safari and its director have been accused of animal cruelty several times in recent years. Due to bad attitude, animal suffering during the show, brutal violence against animals and violation of animal transport rules. At around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, several protesters gathered in front of the circus at Margaretengurtel. A ban on keeping animals is needed.
The association against animal factories apparently has had enough of it again. On Wednesday afternoon, a small group of protesters reunited and heated up the circus. They wanted to get their point across with signs that read “Animals from the circus” or “Animals are not clowns,” among other things.
For the “scandal circus” there has been not only criticism in the past, but also one or the other advertisement. But there were no consequences. With its demonstration, the association wants to bring about a ban on keeping animals.
Less than a week ago, a video leaked to the association against animal factories (VGT) (see above) – which caused hilarity. Completely unscrupulous and with no respect for the animal, a showman helps a woman cram alpacas into a car. The animals panicked and put up a huge fight, only to be brutally grabbed by the neck and held in a stranglehold.
The circus also made headlines in early June when three alpacas escaped and paralyzed a high-speed train in Vienna. Train traffic between the Matzleinsdorfer Platz stop and Meidling train station was blocked for a short time.
