The new agreement for bakeries in Navarra includes a 12% wage increase until 2027

The new agreement has been signed by UGT Navarra and CCOO Industria, who have a majority at the negotiating table. It affects about 1,200 workers in the sector. One of the achievements is “a historic shortening” of the annual working day.

The Federation of Industry, Construction and Agriculture (FICA) of the UGT of Navarra and CCOO Industry, who have a majority at the negotiating table, have agreed with the employers of the sector the new Navarra Bakery Agreement.

Valid for 5 years, from 2023 to 2027, The agreement provides for a total salary increase of 12% (3% in 2023, 2.5% in 2024 and the same in 2025, and 2% in 2026 and 2027), the unions report in a note.

The agreement contains a salary review clause that will equate the salaries of the first three years to the CPI plus 0.75 points in January 2026 in order to, in 2028, valid for five years of the agreement to the CPI plus 1.25 points.

Among other achievements, emphasizes UGT-FICA, in this negotiation a “historic reduction” in annual working hours, which is set at 1,714 hours per year at the end of the agreement. In total, 16 hours will be removed from the current working day, 4 in 2025, another 4 in 2026 and another 8 in 2027, in the form of a free working day.

The agreement, which applies to the fences of 1,200 employees in the sector In the Autonomous Community, it includes numerous social improvements in terms of paid leave, holidays, leave, school aid and child care.

It also introduces contractual guarantees regarding the redemption contract or the minimum annual working hours for intermittent permanent employees or for people who are hired on a part-time basis.
