In the market town of Lustenau in Vorarlberg, an empty single-family house caught fire early on Saturday afternoon. In the large-scale action, involving about 80 firefighters, three emergency services were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
The fire was reported around 1:10 p.m. and was under control by the emergency services, but the house still had to be demolished. As the police said in the evening, arson is suspected.

Further investigations are now pending, fire investigators from the Bregenz State Criminal Investigation Department are involved, it said. A total of five firefighters received medical treatment. 20 rescue workers and numerous police officers were also present.
