A decision by the OGH reveals a remarkable detail of the brutal robbery in Stattegg (Styria). The 55-year-old victim hid her silver and gold coins in the garden among cute rodents. The loot is gone, the perpetrators have now been charged. The suspected tipster will soon have to answer to court.
Supreme Court publications reveal details of crimes that have not yet been made public. Most recently, for example, with the mother who allegedly locked her 12-year-old son in a dog box in Lower Austria. Or in the case of little Leon (6), who was allegedly murdered by his father in the Kitzbüheler Ache. The suspects, who are in custody, had filed a fundamental rights complaint with the Supreme Court.
Tied to chair with tape and cable ties
Like the son of the ex-partner of the victim of a brutal robbery on December 13 in the Styrian town of Stattegg. At that time, a 55-year-old was attacked in her home by several perpetrators who were also detained. “They tied her to a chair with tape and cable ties and asked her to give her the code to the safe,” reports the “Krone”.
There is no trace of the loot
The fundamental rights complaint was rejected and after a new assessment of the detention, the detention was extended. A new detail is noteworthy: in addition to the safe, which the perpetrators could not open, they took gold and silver coins from a hiding place in the garden. According to the OGH, the Styrian estate had a value of about 700,000 euros (!) hidden in the rabbit stable. Gold and vault are still gone.
A report has now been filed against the perpetrators
Lawyer Christian Fauland represents the 28-year-old, who would have informed the perpetrators about the unusual gold hiding place in the cute rodents: “In the meantime, charges have been filed. My client is accused of complicity in burglaries,” says Fauland, who demands acquittal. A trial date is still pending.
