The overtaking maneuver of a 50-year-old driver led to a serious accident in Kössen, Tyrol, shortly after noon on Tuesday. An ambulance was also involved in the accident.
The incident happened around 12:10 p.m. when the 50-year-old wanted to overtake the rescue vehicle on Erpfendorfer Straße (L 39). Suddenly, a 60-year-old man from the United Arab Emirates met him in his car. All three vehicles collided with each other.

A 60-year-old passenger had to be taken to hospital in St. Johann in Tirol with serious injuries. The vehicles of the 50 and 60 year olds were heavily damaged. After the accident was registered, the rescue vehicle was able to continue on its way.
The L39 had to be closed to all traffic for about 30 minutes.
