Insider to the hurdles – hemp release in D: Clubs open to Austrians

Date:

Partial legalization of cannabis in Germany is on track; adults should be able to smoke weed by the turn of the year at the latest. The “Krone” reached a scene insider in Munich with the founder of the chain “Hanf im Glück”. The law is not well thought out, especially the cultivation associations – which are also “open” to Austrians under certain circumstances – raise questions.

Ralf Kannheiser is a man of vision – and a go-getter. In the summer of 2018 he founded “Hanf im Glück” “to free one of the oldest crops in the world from its social stigmatization and to make its health-promoting effects legally usable for a wider society”. The first CBD specialty store was built in Munich and the company expanded from 2020. There are now ten stores across Germany and one in Spain and Austria (Rattenberg in Tyrol).
