At the last minute, three fox babies were rescued from starvation by workers at the animal shelter in Freistadt in Upper Austria. An attentive neighbor of a forest in St. Leonhard near Freistadt had informed the animal shelter about the motherless foxes.
Three fox babies have to survive without their mother, who are rescued by an observant resident and the staff of the Freistadt animal shelter in a forest in St. Leonhard. For two of the trio’s siblings, help came too late.
Tamara, Babsi and Verena brought the three little foxes to the animal shelter, warmed them up and gave them milk. They were given IV fluids and special vitamins because they were weak and dehydrated.
Despite the care, there doesn’t seem to be a baby fox across the mountain yet. The goal is to feed the animals and later release them back into the wild.
