Anna is six years old and can’t wait to go to school. In a few days she won’t be a toddler anymore. Then a new phase of life begins, for which she must be able to do a lot. After all, the list of skills beginners should bring to school is long.

Whether a child is ready to go to school is determined when enrolling in school. This usually takes place in January of the year in which the child starts primary school in the fall. Roughly speaking, the requirement is: the child who goes to school must be able to follow the lessons without being physically, linguistically or mentally overwhelmed.
