As the prosecutor puts it, “numerous attacks” took place against the then 14- or 15-year-old girl over two years. The now 61-year-old grandfather is said to have repeatedly attacked his granddaughter. However, because no acts amounting to sexual intercourse were ever committed, the charge is “merely” aimed at abuse of authority and moral endangerment of people under the age of 16.
Immorally touched and forced
The grandfather from the Grieskirchen district allegedly touched the girl inappropriately to arouse himself and also forced her to watch a pornographic film with him. The trial at the Wels Regional Court ended with an acquittal in case of doubt; the girl’s statements were not decisive enough. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
