A man went to a café on Langobardenstrasse in Vienna on Tuesday, despite not being allowed to stay at home. Because he was refused service due to his behavior, the situation escalated. The police had to move away.
The incident took place at 4:25 p.m. Even though the 30-year-old was forbidden, he still entered the cafe and wanted to be served. However, the waitress did not want to serve the guest because of his behavior. The man then threatened to kill the 45-year-old and made clear signs that he was attacking her.
Guest attacked police officers
Because the officers placed themselves between the suspects and the waitress, the waitress attacked the officers with targeted blows.
Rioters temporarily arrested
The 30-year-old was then temporarily arrested on suspicion of resisting state authority and making dangerous threats. He was released on the orders of the Viennese public prosecutor’s office.
A female officer was injured in the incident. However, she was able to continue her service.
