An AUA plane scheduled to fly to Chicago on Saturday had to abort its flight due to a medical incident on board. The Boeing 777 made an emergency landing in Shannon, Ireland, the aviation magazine ‘Austrian Wings’ reported, citing the AUA.

To reduce weight, the crew dumped fuel over the Atlantic Ocean before landing, Austrian Wings said. There were no further details on the cause of the flight disruption, citing AUA data protection reasons.
