2.24 per mille – Alko-Lenker (25) avoided animal: three injured

Apparently an animal had crossed the street, causing a driver (25) in Schildorn (Upper Austria) to destroy his car. A young German provided first aid. He was seriously injured, two passengers were slightly injured and one was unhurt. The alcohol test showed that the driver had a blood alcohol level of 2.24.

The 25-year-old driver from the Ried im Innkreis district drove his car to Schildorn with his three friends on Sunday around 7:30 p.m. Because an animal was running across the road, the driver swerved and turned right onto the shoulder, according to police. The car was thrown into the grass and overturned several times.

Eyewitnesses provided first aid
A 20-year-old driver from Germany, who was not involved, immediately called the emergency services and provided first aid together with her husband. The driver was seriously injured in the traffic accident and was taken to Rieder Hospital. An alcohol test gave a positive value of 2.24 per mille. That is why his driver’s license was temporarily confiscated.

Only one passenger was unharmed
His 19-year-old passenger from the Ried im Innkreis district suffered minor injuries in the accident. The 16-year-old from the Ried im Innkreis district, who was driving in the back seat, was also taken to the Ried im Innkreis hospital with minor injuries. The 19-year-old passenger from the Ried im Innkreis district was unharmed. The car was total.
