It was close – neighbors to the rescue: woman pulled out of pond

Date:

Two neighbors (19 and 51) from Altenfelden in Upper Austria had a life-saver on Sunday evening: they discovered an 83-year-old who had fallen into a fish pond while walking and could only keep her head above water. The two guardian angels pulled the older woman out of the pond.

An 83-year-old woman from Altenfelden went for an evening walk unnoticed and without a walker. The pensioner was traveling alone and her relatives thought she was already asleep. She went to a fishing pond, where she probably slipped in the long grass on the bank.

All she could do was keep her head above water
Her entire body was submerged and she could only keep her head above water. Neighbors who happened to pass by, a 19-year-old and a 51-year-old, heard the woman crying softly around 7:50 p.m. They discovered the injured person, pulled him out of the water and alerted the rescue services. The 83-year-old was taken to hospital.
