A violent burglary took place in Vienna-Favoriten on Wednesday evening. Attentive neighbors became aware of the loud screams of the woman who was in the apartment in question at the time.
Around 9 p.m., the alerted police officers found the man (46) and a woman on the ground, who, according to the police, were apparently slightly injured. During subsequent interrogation, it turned out that the man was the victim’s ex-boyfriend.
The argument escalated
After a heated argument, she no longer wanted to let her ex-boyfriend into the apartment. He then kicked open the front door with full force and hit her in the face several times with his fist.
Provisionally arrested
The 46-year-old denied assault but admitted kicking the door open. The man was temporarily arrested on suspicion of trespass and bodily harm. The 46-year-old was also under the influence of drugs at the time and had previously driven the car to visit his ex-girlfriend.
His driver’s license was therefore temporarily confiscated. Furthermore, an entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against the man.
