Dramatic scenes in Reichersdorf on the L 212: A car carrying a woman and a child came off the wet road, overturned and was thrown into the woods! Both were injured.
Officials are yet to determine the exact course of the accident, but the fact is: the vehicle in which the Styrian Marker and a child were found skidded on the L212 today, went off the road and flipped over. The completely wrecked car then stopped in the woods.
Despite the injuries, the driver was able to free herself and the child from the car before the fire service arrived. The child, who was injured to an unknown extent, received first aid from the Red Cross and was then transferred to the children’s hospital in Graz. The driver was transferred to the Regional Hospital Feldbach.
There was a lot to do for the fire brigade on site: the accident site was secured, the car was rescued from the rough terrain, forcing the highway to be closed for a short time.
In action: the two fire brigades Aschau and St. Stefan i. R. with five vehicles and about 30 troops, the rescue service with two RTW and the police with two vehicles. After about an hour and a half, the troops were able to return to the fire station.
