Drug cocktail swallowed – 24-year-old pulls handbrake at highway entrance

Date:

1.4 per mille of alcohol, cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines and methamphetamines – this drug cocktail was ingested by a 24-year-old motorist who came up with the ‘bright’ idea while driving at too high speed on Sunday evening in Dornbirn-West highway entrance (Vorarlberg) Trek apply the handbrake of your vehicle. With far-reaching consequences…

Around 6:45 p.m., a 24-year-old motorist from Dornbirn wanted to enter the Dornbirn West driveway towards Tyrol with two passengers. The 24-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle, probably due to excessive speed and applying the handbrake in the bends. The vehicle was thrown into the left guardrail.

Car broken down, passengers unharmed
The force of the impact caused the vehicle to spin on its own axis and come to a halt on the road, badly damaged. The driver and the two people traveling with him were not injured in the accident.

Driveway closed for 30 minutes
According to the police, an alcohol test carried out showed a value of 0.70 mg/l, which corresponds to 1.4 per mille. A voluntary saliva test on the 24-year-old was positive for cannabis, cocaine, amphetamine and methamphetamine. The driver’s license was confiscated on the spot. After the accident, the highway entrance had to be closed to all traffic for half an hour to investigate the accident.
