A paragliding flight ended on Wednesday for a 27-year-old Tyrolean at the clinic in Innsbruck. Due to a failed maneuver, the glider collapsed. The pilot lost control and crashed.
According to police, the devastating incident took place around 12.15pm on Wednesday. The 27-year-old wanted to land in the Lehmweg area in Innsbruck-Arzl. Unfortunately that went completely wrong. “Due to an incorrect flying maneuver, the canopy on the left side collapsed, causing the local population to crash,” investigators said.
Significant pelvic injuries
The man hit the ground. The force of the blow left him with significant injuries to his pelvis. After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, he was taken by ambulance to the clinic in Innsbruck.
