A 17-year-old who injured two police officers in Vienna-Ottakring on Sunday evening had to be taken away with the help of the fire brigade after his arrest – due to his heavy body weight.
The officers were called to an attempted property damage to a residential building. There were two 17-year-olds in the stairwell playing with a lighter and deodorant spray. One of the two attacked the police officers with punches and bit two officers in the forearm.
Police officers were unable to continue their duties
The boy also made death threats to emergency services. The 17-year-old was eventually arrested for resisting state authority. “Due to his body weight, he had to be removed from the building with the help of the Vienna Fire Department using a rescue bucket,” police said in a press release. The suspect was still in custody at the police station on Monday. The injured officers were unable to continue their work.
