On Wednesday evening, men from the professional fire brigade of Graz were life-saving. They rescued a 36-year-old from his burning apartment. He had inhaled smoke.
On Wednesday around 10 p.m., the Graz professional fire brigade was called to the operation in Netzgasse in the Lend district of Graz, because a fire had broken out in an apartment building. When emergency services arrived, there was already heavy smoke and neighbors informed the fire brigade that one person was still in the apartment.
Emergency services destroyed the door of the apartment
The respiratory protection team immediately began rescuing people – the apartment door was forced open and the 36-year-old resident was freed from the heavily smoke-filled apartment. He was handed over to the Red Cross and taken to the LKH Graz West after emergency care with suspected smoke poisoning.
The cause of the fire was probably forgotten burning material. The fire in the kitchen was quickly extinguished. It is currently unknown how much material damage has been caused.
