For unknown reasons, a helicopter crashed on Friday on the busy M-40 ring road around the Spanish capital Madrid. Three people were injured.
Miraculously, the two occupants of the helicopter escaped with minor injuries, the rescue service announced on platform X (formerly Twitter). A driver was also only slightly injured.
Television showed that all that remained of the yellow helicopter was a pile of rubble, which lay on the central reservation of the highway just in front of a bridge. In the immediate vicinity of the crash site is the Ifema exhibition center, where an aviation exhibition is currently taking place.
It is not yet known whether the helicopter flight was related to this event.
