Police arrested a 38-year-old man armed with a samurai sword and a knife in Lower Austria on Monday. He allegedly threatened to kill his neighbor during a telephone conversation.
Unfortunately, the domestic police are far too often confronted with all kinds of weapons. In Vösendorf, Mödling district, officers were suddenly confronted on Monday evening by a man with a samurai sword and knife in the courtyard of a residential complex. He had previously threatened to kill a neighbor (40) during an argument, after which she filed a report.
Fortunately, when the 38-year-old saw the men in uniform, he kept his knives under control and was arrested.
Drugs seized
The weapons ban and charge of dangerous threats will likely soon be accompanied by further charges: Detectives found cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the “ninjas” apartment. “The suspect had also set up a tent that was probably intended to grow more cannabis plants,” an investigator reported. More knives were also seized.
Several cars destroyed
The 38-year-old is also believed to have destroyed several cars; the suspect categorically denies all allegations. He is currently being held in Wiener Neustadt prison on the orders of the public prosecutor.
