The National Institute of Statistics (INE) confirmed on Thursday that inflation rates rose two weeks ago, as did that of core inflation (excluding energy or fresh food), which fell by 0.7 points to reach 4.5%, the lowest figure since April last year.

The development of food prices is mainly influenced by the decrease in bread, cereals, milk, eggs and cheese, compared to the increases of the previous year, and that meat increased less than in November 2022.
