A 45-year-old must remain in custody after a knife attack that killed a 54-year-old in Tyrol’s Fieberbrunn at the end of October. This was decided on Friday by the Innsbruck Regional Court. The motive remains a mystery.
“The pre-trial detention was extended until February 15,” court spokeswoman Birigit Fink told the APA. She could not provide information about whether the man remained silent about the allegations as before. So nothing was known about the motive. After the suspect was arrested, the police interrogation was stopped. It was said that locals also refused to sign the interrogation protocol.
Parents of suspect found body
The 54-year-old crime victim was found lifeless with stab wounds to the neck in the suspect’s apartment by his parents. The crime is said to have occurred during an argument involving a kitchen knife; the two men knew each other. According to police, the suspect was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
