In the Tulln district (Lower Austria), a supermarket employee discovered a – possibly exotic – spider in a banana box. Fire brigade and police were immediately alerted.
What a gift! A spider was again discovered in a banana box in a Lower Austrian supermarket. An employee was just preparing everything for the already stressful shopping Saturday.
Then the shock: there was a spider in the banana box. The employee had the presence of mind to close the box again and alert the emergency services.
Gender still unclear
Firefighters took the crate containing the animal visitor to a safe location and opened the crate. The spider had already died.
It is still unclear what sex the animal was. There has never been any danger to the customers.
