New Year’s Day accident – car crashes into tree in Lower Austria: four injured

On Monday afternoon, four young people were injured, some seriously, in a traffic accident in Lunz am See in the Scheibbs district (Lower Austria). The car crashed into a concrete curb and then into a tree.

A serious traffic accident in Lunz am See on New Year’s Day required a large contingent of emergency services. According to the state police of Lower Austria, a driver drove his car off the B25 and crashed into a concrete curb and then into a tree.

According to police, an 18-year-old was probably driving the car. The three other prisoners were also 17 and 18 years old.

Four injured
All four occupants were injured by the force of the impact. The victims were taken to surrounding hospitals by several emergency services and an emergency helicopter.

According to the broadcast, the quartet from the Baden district was traveling from the Hochkar ski resort towards Gaming when the accident happened.
