Even the day after the attack on the bank branch in the Sparchen district of Kufstein, investigators were still in the dark. Shortly before the branch closed, the masked perpetrator threatened the employees with a gun, stole tens of thousands of euros and then fled. A search was unsuccessful. It remains unclear whether the time of the crime also played a role, explains lead investigator Philipp Rapold from the LKA Tirol: “The attack took place shortly before the branch was closed. We cannot say whether there was more money at that time.”
