According to police in the Swedish capital, the dangerous object was discovered on the fence at the back of the building. The National Explosives Squad determined that the object was sharp. It was then destroyed on the spot. Police cordoned off the area during the incident on Wednesday and started an investigation.

Israel’s ambassador to Sweden, Ziv Nevo Kulman, spoke of an attempted attack on the embassy and staff there. He thanked the Swedish authorities for their quick response and made it clear: “We will not be intimidated by terror.”
