Now more and more details about the murder of an Iranian in Vienna are coming to light. It was announced at a press conference on Friday that the murder weapon had been seized. It’s a hammer.
As reported, the 38-year-old murder suspect has already made a full confession. Accordingly, the ultimately fatal argument between the two Iranians arose in an apartment in the Weinviertel (Lower Austria) over a financial issue.
A fisherman who caught a leg from the Marchfeld Canal got the ball rolling. Little by little, more body parts, including the murder victim’s head, were recovered.
Messages sent to family
The suspect was finally arrested earlier this week. The 38-year-old and his later victim (45) had been friends for years. After the murder, the suspect tried to downplay or cover up the 45-year-old’s disappearance to the family. He may also have sent messages to the family using the dead man’s mobile phone, which were identified as incorrect by relatives, not least because of the unusual nature of the wording.
