The chaos surrounding the sudden cancellation of the old Jedermann ensemble seems to have done the festival no harm. On the contrary: there is a real “griss” especially around the tickets for everyone next summer.
Presales for the Everyman have already started, but there are more requests than tickets for the performances with Philipp Hochmair. All dates are reserved from the first to the last performance.
“Compared to the already very successful previous year, the ticket office has once again recorded a double-digit percentage increase in the number of orders received,” the festival said. This corresponds to an order volume last seen in January of the anniversary year 2020 – before the start of the pandemic.
International orders from 62 countries have also returned to pre-pandemic levels. After Austria, the Salzburg Festival receives the most orders from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, the US, Japan and Great Britain.
