The Tuvisa strike committee continues with the indefinite strike, pending the response from the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council to the committee’s latest proposal.
In a note made public on Friday, the commission assured that “although some progress was made yesterday, there are still issues that are critical to the resolution of the conflict.”
They point out that they have sent the council a series of items that “if positively resolved” would lead to the convening of a meeting where staff would vote on whether to call off the strike or continue with it.
“Meanwhile, these staff will continue the indefinite strike, fighting vigorously and unitedly for their rights,” they stressed.
Yesterday, Thursday, the final meeting took place between the management and the works council of the public transport service of the capital Alava, Tuvisa, a meeting that ended without agreements.
The city council reported yesterday that, although no consensus had been reached, there had been “a significant rapprochement” between the two parties.
In turn, he stated that the committee was preparing a document to be sent to management. Document that is now on the table of the municipal council.
The committee decided yesterday 100% monitoring of the sixth consecutive strike day carried out by the workers since last Saturday, February 10.
