On Friday afternoon, a family dispute escalated in Paldau (Styria): a father (76) attacked his wife, son and partner by threatening to kill them. Because there were several weapons in the hunting family’s home, COBRA was even called.
A father became so upset during an argument that his own son had to call the police. The 76-year-old from Paldau had threatened to kill his 52-year-old son, his partner and also his own wife. The three family members became frightened and fled the house and hid nearby.

Because it soon became clear that it was a family of hunters who had stored weapons in the house, the Cobra was alarmed and a police helicopter was dispatched. Together, the police officers were able to defuse the situation and arrest the accused father without resistance.
Weapons and ammunition seized
An entry and proximity ban was issued against the 76-year-old – and he is said to be at large. There was also a complaint against both father and son because they had not properly stored their hunting weapons. Both were then banned from carrying weapons.
