The international community is expressing its horror at the Israeli massacre in a queue for the distribution of aid

The United Nations Security Council met urgently behind closed doors yesterday without discussing anything. The EU as well as countries such as Spain, France and Australia have condemned the attack. Colombia has gone further and announced the suspension of arms purchases from Israel.

“Horror”, “conviction” and even “genocide”. These are the words most used by the international community following Israel’s attack on the civilian population awaiting humanitarian aid in Gaza.

The Secretary General of the UNAntónio Guterres has condemned the massacre and again demanded a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. “Desperate civilians in Gaza need urgent help, including those in the besieged north, where the UN has been unable to provide assistance for more than a week,” said spokesman Stéphane Dujarric.
