A 26-year-old holidaymaker from Germany was injured in an accident with a taxi on Saturday evening. A 36-year-old taxi driver was driving his vehicle in Hinterglemm towards the valley station of the Reiterkogelbahn when a group of tourists approached him. The group covered the entire width of the road. The taxi driver got out of his car to reprimand her.
Meanwhile, the vehicle rolled backward with the door open and struck the woman standing near the train ramp, police said. The holidaymaker was pushed to the ground by the vehicle, trapped under the open vehicle door and injured.
To save the woman, the car, which had previously hit two other taxis and suffered minor damage, had to be towed by the fire brigade. While trying to stop the car, the driver injured his leg. The two injured people were taken to the hospital in Zell am See.
