Horrible industrial accident on Wednesday in Innsbruck: During cleaning work on the roof of a commercial building, a Romanian (36) fell through a roof hatch and fell eight meters before colliding with a machine. The man suffered serious injuries.
The fatal accident took place around 9:45 am in Innsbruck-Amras. According to the police, the 36-year-old Romanian, employee of a cleaning company in the Tyrolean lowlands, was busy to clean the windows on the roof of the company.
Fell off ladder, hit through roof hatch
“The worker was standing on a wooden ladder at the time. “Suddenly he lost his balance and fell backwards, taking the ladder with him,” investigators said. As a result, the 36-year-old crashed into a plexiglass skylight, broke through it and fell approximately eight meters onto a work machine below.
Taken to hospital by ambulance
