Mom and dad probably just wanted to make their son happy, but they showed him how that couldn’t be possible: they stole several toy cars and made their toddler complicit in the process. Now it’s getting expensive!
The Romanian couple, who were traveling with a little boy in their shopping cart, were seen working too conspicuously on toys in a supermarket in Linz. The 28-year-old mother took a toy car out of the packaging and gave it to the child.
The packaging was returned to the shelf. Because it worked so well, the mother played the game a second time and eventually the father (29) took a car out of the package and gave it to his child.
Mom and Dad were intercepted behind the cash register – the family had ‘forgotten’ to pay for the cars. They admitted to stealing the cars for their son, which cost a few euros. Now they must expect a fine in addition to the administrative costs for shoplifting.
