Almost 50 criminal offenses – courageous landlord hunts serial killers

Date:

Thanks to the courage of a landlord in Burgenland, the police were able to stop a young career criminal. The father of the family caught him in his basement and arrested him. To arrest! The investigation has shown that almost 50 burglaries and thefts in three states can be attributed to the 18-year-old serial perpetrator.

On the night of Palm Sunday, Peter F. heard suspicious noises from the basement of his house in Pinkafeld, as reported. The father of the family, who was already in bed, quickly checked whether everything was going well – and caught a criminal who had already prepared expensive tools as loot for the transport.

Immediately suspicious
“Armed” with a shovel, the 42-year-old forced the intruder into a tool shed on the property and guarded him until police arrived. Because the arrested man not only had two knives in his pocket, but also jewelry and a watch, apparently from another coup, investigators assumed that the thief was probably a serial perpetrator.

Intensive research has now confirmed the initial suspicion. Experienced specialists from the State Criminal Investigation Department – Oberwart were able to prove that Moldova had committed more than 40 other burglaries and thefts. In some cases the criminal failed and it was just an attempt. His route runs straight through Lower Austria, Styria and Burgenland. He committed coups, among other things, at the Römersee campsite in Wiesen and in Forchtenstein.

Forests as loot storage
It has been proven that the suspect has been causing mischief in this country since May last year. According to investigations, he had hidden stolen expensive e-bikes and e-scooters in the forests of all three states and only sold them on the black market after a certain period.

Police success
To the delight of the victims, the police were able to track down a number of stolen items and return them to their owners. Even cash the 18-year-old took from unlocked cars was seized. The damage amounts to more than 10,000 euros.

The suspect is now in custody at the Eisenstadt prison. In addition to crimes such as burglaries and serious thefts, he is also accused of falsifying documents.
