Bankinter will earn 201 million euros until March, 9% more than in 2023

The financial institution paid 95 million euros, 23% more, for the special bank tax.

Bankinter achieved a net profit of 201 million euros in the first quarter, which represents an increase of 9% compared to the 185 million it achieved in the same period of 2023, according to the quarterly accounts published by the bank on Thursday.

Just like last year, the bank fully justified the bank’s payment special bank tax in this quarter’s accounts. The rate has increased by 23% 95 million euroscompared to the 77 the bank paid last year.

Total income between January and March (gross profit margin) increased by 7% to 659 million euros, while net interest income (interest margin) amounted to 578 million euros, 11% more.
