They’re beautiful, they’re fast – and often too fast for their drivers. Last week, drivers in Upper Austria demolished two Lamborghinis. ÖAMTC instructor Daniel Fessl explains why such sports cars are dangerous for “normal people”. And he has a good tip that all fans of Ferrari, Lambo & Co. urgently need to pay attention to.
Everyone who loves “Lambo” had to suffer this past week. On Friday, a driver destroyed his Lamborghini in Bad Ischl. He hit a guardrail on a wet road. The car was severely damaged.
On Saturday, the next “Lambo” got into trouble: a 51-year-old from Pucking accelerated too hard while exiting a left-hand bend in Schleißheim, causing the car to drift. The speedster hit a guardrail on the left side and crashed into a tree after flying about 150 feet. The driver and his passenger (50) went to the hospital, the iconic speedster went to car heaven.
A Mercedes AMG also had to suffer
A Welser (21) also caused a stir when he ignorantly demolished a borrowed 476 hp Mercedes C63 AMG. But why do such spectacular accidents involving sports cars continue to happen?
