Because an Irishman suddenly slowed down and even stopped in the middle of a public road, an accident occurred involving three cars, two of which even ended up in a ditch.
Just a few hours after a car full of pensioners crashed into a house wall on Tuesday, another traffic accident occurred on Drautal Straße B100. In the open space of Rasdorf (municipality of Griffenburg), a 23-year-old man from the Spittal district rear-ended a 72-year-old Irish woman who had parked her car on the national highway for an unknown reason.
Hit the car head-on
The impact caused the young Carinthian to drive into the ditch. “The woman’s car was thrown into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into the vehicle of a 59-year-old man,” police said. His car also ended up in a ditch. Although the Irish national had to be taken to hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature, both men were unhurt. Emergency services had to close the street for almost two hours in the evening.
