What some people are capable of is incredible. Four puppies were left in a highway parking lot in Burgenland.
Her death would have been certain if a couple had not stopped at a highway parking lot in Burgenland on their way home from vacation. They heard a whimper, looked and saw two beady black eyes. There was a soaking wet puppy under a bush. When they looked closer, they saw that there were two babies hidden from the rain. A fourth ball of fur sat a few feet away under another bush.
The two showed their hearts and put all four in their car. Because they probably would have been run over so close to the highway. With the puppies in their luggage, they called a few clubs, but none of them had any capacity for foster dogs. That’s how they eventually ended up with the paw rescuers.
Paw rescuers took over puppies
“We really don’t have any money at the moment because we have so many animals, but I felt so sorry for the little ones,” admits Claudia from “Die Pfotenretter”. Two friends have agreed to give a couple shelter; the other two puppies will stay with Claudia and her mother for the time being. At first the little ones were quite confused, but after an hour one thing took over: hungry and wanting to cuddle!
“Strolchi”, “Paula”, “Mr. Boomer” and “Miss Happy” have already been to the vet and have now been chipped and vaccinated. They also seem suitable. “The little ones are about three and a half months old,” says Claudia. The four are now allowed to recover with their foster families, after which they will be placed. Anyone who wants to help the association (the veterinary costs alone amount to 440 euros) can do so with a small donation.
