A cruel event took place in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) traffic on Friday morning. A 29-year-old woman crossed the street with her dog on a leash. Although the dog owner was able to cross the street unimpeded, an SUV eventually caught her four-legged friend. All help came too late for the animal.
The 29-year-old woman was in Dornbirn at 8.30am on Friday with her dog, a Bolonka Zwetna, in the Dornbirner Rohrbach Strasse on the way. When she tried to cross the street at a zebra crossing, her dog trotted after her. An SUV driver had previously stopped to allow the woman to cross the street. The dog owner reached the sidewalk, but her four-legged friend was still on the street at the time. The SUV drove off – and caught the gray-white fur nose.
Driver kept driving
The animal was so badly injured in the collision that it died a short time later at the vet. The driver of the black SUV was heartless and continued his journey. Police are asking for information about the incident.
