After a verbal altercation at Linz Central Station, a 12-year-old suddenly pulled a knife on Thursday and threatened to kill a couple. The suspect and his companion (14) then fled, but were caught by the police.
The 51-year-old from Linz and his 60-year-old wife were in the area of Linz central station around 7.45 pm on Thursday. Suddenly two young people, a 14-year-old from Gallneukirchen and a 12-year-old from Ried im Traunkreis, approached them. A war of words ensued.

After that, everyone went to the same platform. The 12-year-old suddenly pulled a knife from his pocket and threatened to kill the 51-year-old. The youths then fled in an unknown direction. A manhunt was launched and the two youths were quickly caught.
