Four people were injured in a serious traffic accident on the Fernpass road near Lermoos in the Tyrolean Ausserfern on Monday afternoon. After a collision, two vehicles ended up over an embankment in a stream bed.
According to the police, the accident happened around 13:45. A German (52) was driving his car towards Reutte. For unknown reasons, he ended up on the opposite lane. There he collided with the car of an oncoming driver (27) from Austria.

The impact was so violent that both vehicles were thrown off the road and ended up in a creek bed. The driver and two passengers were seriously injured in the accident. After the rescue, they were taken to hospitals in Reutte and Garmisch. The cars were badly damaged in the crash.
