A “cross-border” chase from Burgenland to Lower Austria caused wild scenes on the southern motorway on Monday. A man was arrested near Leobersdorf in the Baden district.
After two criminals fled after numerous burglaries in Burgenland, officials from Lower Austria also set their sights on the criminals. From the neighboring state, we went at full speed into the wide country, where eventually the handcuffs clicked around one of the two perpetrators.
The burglar was arrested by police as part of a manhunt near Leobersdorf in the Baden district, the Burgenland State Police Directorate confirmed in response to a request from the “Krone” that the joint official action included the arrest of a suspect. The two perpetrators are said to have previously committed burglaries at various locations in Burgenland and were caught red-handed.

Eyewitnesses reported a possible accident between the fleeing driver and a police patrol. Details have not been released due to the ongoing investigation.
