A serious traffic accident occurred in Vienna-Hernals on Wednesday afternoon. A previously unknown man ran across Dornbacher Straße, collided with a pedestrian (47) and then fled on foot.
Despite the “give way” sign, the unknown driver hit the gas pedal and sped across Dornbacher Straße. Shortly after, he collided with a 47-year-old who was walking. The impact caused him to lose control of the steering wheel and crash into two parked cars.

Instead of stopping and checking on the accident victim, the alleged suspect fled on foot with his passengers, leaving the injured woman at the scene of the accident.
Cars not allowed
According to initial investigation, the car was not registered. The license plates that were mounted on the car have been confiscated. The person to whom the license plates were registered has not yet been found. She is listed as homeless.
The 47-year-old was taken to hospital by emergency services due to her injuries. There is currently no trace of the fugitive.
