A Styrian man sped away from the police in Knittelfeld on his quad bike on Saturday evening. His passenger was thrown from the vehicle in a bend and seriously injured – the driver then had to stop at a parking meter.
At around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, police officers saw a quad bike racing through Knittelfeld at extremely high speed. The driver avoided stopping and simply drove on. In a bend, he left the road and crashed into a garden wall. The 19-year-old passenger was thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured.
The driver drove on and eventually crashed into a parking meter. But the Murtaler still wasn’t satisfied and continued his escape on foot. When he was finally stopped by the police, it turned out that he did not have a valid driver’s license and also had a small amount of marijuana on him. He was also injured and was therefore taken to the LKH Judenburg, just like his passenger.
