On Sunday evening, two boys aged 14 and 16 went wild: first they stole two bicycles from the train station in Lauterach, then they took the train to Bludenz to break into a vending machine there. But that did not go unnoticed.
The night-time thieves’ attack began at around 11:40 p.m. at the train station in Lauterach, where the duo from the Bregenz area used concrete shears to break two bicycle locks and then boarded the train to Bludenz with the two bicycles.
When they arrived in the Alpine city, they immediately began to abuse a vending machine near the train station: first they broke the window with a crowbar and then stole various items. Last but not least, they also used force to break open the door of an adjacent storage room.

However, the criminal activity was observed by two witnesses. They alerted the police and also chased the youths, who had meanwhile gone to a gas station. There, the night excursion came to an end and the two boys were arrested by the police. All stolen property and the instruments of crime were confiscated. The duo was reported to the Feldkirch public prosecutor’s office while they were at large.
