A local guest drew attention at a Viennese club downtown early Saturday morning for his aggressive behavior. The security personnel therefore asked him to leave the restaurant. However, this made the 40-year-old suspect even more furious.
Shortly after 3 a.m., the security guards, men aged 40 and 41, evicted the guest from the restaurant. He would previously have behaved “very aggressively” towards other revelers, police reported on Sunday. However, the suspect did not want to accept the abrupt end of his visit to the bar and tried several times to hit the guards in front of the bar on the Opernring with a bottle bought in the club.
The police were alerted and the aggressive man was arrested. Officers found five bags of marijuana on him, as well as “two bottles of an unknown liquid,” the director said.
