An anonymous bomb threat was received at the train station in Feldkirch on Tuesday evening – in Vorarlberg the area was immediately evacuated. And the police in Carinthia were informed: what if the stranger had made a mistake and meant Feldkirchen in Carinthia?
This series of anonymous bomb threats has been keeping the emergency services on their toes for days. Train stations across Austria must be evacuated. The train stations in Linz, Graz, Salzburg, St. Pölten, Klagenfurt and Bregenz were already affected.
Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, a bomb was threatened that was allegedly placed at the train station in Feldkirch in Vorarlberg.
Because caution is required and it cannot be assumed that an anonymous perpetrator cannot make a mistake, the police in Carinthia were also informed. As a precaution, they also evacuated Feldkirchen train station.
“Fortunately, nothing suspicious was discovered,” explains Waltraud Dullnigg, spokeswoman for the Carinthia State Police Directorate.
